I have a dream - yes that sounds cheesy but that will not discourage me. I also have a kinda ambitious dream thats why I am making this blog to put some pressure on me - anyway - to make things short - I want to become a poker-pro which means I want to make my living playing online-poker. Why the hell would you want to do that you may ask? Yes I have a great Job and yes I make good money doing what I like to do, so why do something stupid like playing poker on teh int0rnets?

Well - I love poker!

Thats all! And I want to play it all day and all night and on weekends and on my wedding-aniversery day ... you get the idea ... So I am now starting to build up a bank-roll to play bigger and bigger online sit-and-go tournaments until I can live off what I make daily beating the shit out of weak and stupid players. Sounds great hu?

I am starting out with 100$ I deposited at PartyPoker and my first big goal is to create a bank-roll of 6'000$ at which point I can play 200$ sit-and-go tournaments with enough cash to get through tuffer times at the tables.

But that is far away and currently I am playing 5$ and 10$ sit-and-gos which is basically my second-level training. I started playing poker at Sep 24, 2004 on Pokerroom and I started out with play-money and then switched to Limit 25/25c full-tables and made over time ruffly 200$ but lost it all again playing drunk or just being a inpatient jack-ass. I then switched to NL 25/25c made about 300$ over time but lost it all again playing drunk or just being a inpatient jack-ass. I then played tournaments mostly Free-Rolls and Lucky-Dollar where up to 2'400 people battle it out. I made it into the money a view times but nothing groundbreaking and the hours one has to invest are insane, so screw that!

Ok, so just for your information, I am playing on a G5 running VPC 7 so I can play on PartyPoker. Now you can imagine the shit is dog slow and man it is but for the moment I am coping and I can still do some work while playing (23" Cinema-Display baby!)

BTW please don't mention this blog to my wife - she knows nothing about my plans for our future income so just keep it quiet - luckily she can't read english so there is not much danger from that corner but anyway better to make this clear to you right now. :-)

So I had my shares of ups and downs, switching to only playing SNGs was not that easy and I learned a lot in these 20 days which I think shows a bit on the graph. My biggest weakness is still trying to double up early in the game which often ends disastrous with all them fish and 'weak' players playing any two cards ... but I think I have improved and also respecting the 'lucky fuck' on the table help me a lot to stay in the games and not trying to punish people for their luck by trying to outplay them ... anyway the trend is there I will get passed the 200$ and up and I will finish first more often and friggen shine on the stage. :-)

Ok, so the last two weeks were bad, I was close to getting over 200$ a few times but every time I got into a losing streak and had to fight my way back up again (I won 405$ totally but until now I won Net 47$). Now that Party has changed their structure I first had not much trouble with it, but after a few games I now have trouble with tight tabels, I need to figure out what's going wrong or I will stay stuck in this up and down situations ... I also noticed something else lately, on a tabel sometimes there is somebody that just has his lucky day, he's not playing very clever or anything, he just gets the cards and hits with what ever he plays. So I started to just get out of hands where the 'lucky fuck' was in and behold most of the times it pays, it seems I just went after them because I could not stomach their luck, like I wanted to punish them or something but I just had to wait for other idiots to challenge their luck and lose to them ... So now I really need to get passed the 200$ or I'm gonna go tilt soon ...

This was a very close one again. I was the short-stack when we were down to 5 players and I remained until I went heads-up and again I cracked the chip-leader. It is a very dangerous game not getting involved in the first 3-4 rounds because from there on almos any mistake would cripple me badly because I then are down to 400 chips or less, but again, being patient and waiting for the other players to panic and do stupid move out of position got me the gold-medal once more ...

Today I was playing in a sit-and-go and we were 4 players left, I was the short-stack (like always because I do not get involved much in the early stages) and I had AK, went all-in and a player with a few 100 more chips call me with J2s! WTF? And you know what? He made a friggn flush! Argh! Today I accidently clicked on a limit-holdem game - man limit sucks - I first had the urge to just close the game and forget the 6$ investment but then I thought to give it a try. Well I made it to the final 3, I was the short-stack and the two other players were bullying me around so I made a stand with Q8s and flopped a flush but right at that moment VirtualPC decided to freeze-up!!! ARRRGHHHH!! Well anyway, limit sucks and I really cant understand why people play limit sit-and-gos, it's just so confining and mechanical ... wheres the fun?

VirtualPC drives me crazy

What kills me at the moment is the inability to sit down at a tabe - like I mentioned above I am using VirtualPC on my G5 and it's so goddamned slow that when a empty table gets listed and I click on it I have to wait so long for it to open that half of the seats are gone and then I start to click on a seat like a maniac because the window is not in focus so I have to wait until the window pops into the foreground! ARRGHHH! I have to open about 10 tables until I'm finally fast enough to sit in! At that point I am so frustrated and down with my nerves that I have trouble settling down, to get my composure so I do not go all-in with my frist hand!
